GCxGC

Thermal Modulation GC x GC System

ZX1- LN2 Cooled Loop Modulation GC x GC System

The ZX1 thermal modulation system from ZOEX provides the lowest practical temperature for thermal modulation, hence modulates the widest range (C2 to C55) of organic compounds. Even methane has been modulated with liquid nitrogen cooled gas jets like those in the ZX1. The improved cryogenic heat exchange system minimizes LN2 usage. The ZX1 system is robust and easy to use.

.......Features:

  • 2 stage loop modulator
  • Liquid N2 cooling bath (optional 5, 10 or 20 liters)
  • Modulation rated for C3+
  • Installs on Agilent 7890GC, 6890GC, 5973QMS, Shimadzu GC-2010 & GCMS-QP2010Plus, Thermo Trace GC
  • Secondary oven installed as an option
  • Secondary oven can lead or lag the main oven up to 40°C
  • No moving parts
  • Modulation cycle range from 1000ms - 32000ms

.......Benefits:

  • Easy to install; most users can manage own installation within 2 hours
  • Can be uninstalled and allow GC to be used for other methods. Not necessary to have dedicated GC
  • More robust than the quad jet
  • Sharpest known modulation gives sharpest secondary peaks, hence highest possible secondary peak capacity.
  • Higher sensitivity than non-thermal modulators due to peak focusing
  • Compatible with MS at ordinary flow rates, unlike non-thermal modulators

GC Image Software

Innovative 2-in-1 Software: GC Image is the world's leading software for comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC x GC). Examing raw pixel data, display, manipulate and print 3-D images, flatten baseline and detect Blobs (peak).

GC Image provides a 2-in-1 solution for identifying and quantifying compounds and groups in GCxGC images: (1) GC Image for manually processing individual GCxGC chromatograms; (2) GC Project for automatically processing multiple GCxGC chromatograms for autosampler sequences.
